An April Fool’s Fun Fest

Bletchfest’s now regular April Comedy event, full of spring chuckles, is back in 2025 with an all star line up of hilarious comedians headlined by the wonderful Simon Evans. These shows have never failed to sell out – often very quickly! The performers for this event seem sure to maintain that record.

Ash Frith, our compere for the evening, has 10 years as a professional comedian and has enjoyed performing with some of the best acts on the UK comedy circuit, providing support for Russell Kane and Terry Alderton on theatre dates, as well as performing in further flung locations Frog & Bucket, Comedy Central, XS Malarky. Ash has also performed in the West End Show “Cornucopia”

Lovdev Barpaga, the 2017 UK Pun Champion, has the kind of effortless and gentle likeability that is completely unique in the comedy world.  Entire crowds seem to fall in lovewith him from the start and as much of his incredible humour as for his undeniable charm.

Often laughing as much as his audience, here's a man in love with his job and it shows.  You can't help but laugh along with him: The ultimate feel good comic.

Alexis Roy is an observational comic whose refreshingly unique slant on parenthood, marriage and increasingly awkward family encounters are told with a warmth that belies her real feelings. Enormously relatable Alexis is impressing audiences, her peers and promoters countrywide and is a fast rising star on the comedy circuit entertaining audiences around the country.

Simon Evans is a UK comedian with his own BBC Radio 4 series Simon Evans Goes to Market and with numerous radio and TV appearances. He has appeared on Live at the Apollo , Stand Up for the Week, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live amongst others.

Simon has toured in his own shows Fringe Magnet, Friendly Fire ,Leashed and in 2018 his show Genius which garnered four-star reviews at Edinburgh iFestival and was described in The Scotsman as an "extraordinarily accomplished hour… a masterclass in socio-political comedy". He has also supported Lee Mack on his UK tour Going Out, and as a writer has made a long running contribution to Mack's BBC sitcom Not Going Out.

His sharp mind isn’t confined to comedy. He has won Celebrity Mastermind where his specialist subject was Ernest Shackleton. That razor sharp mind is a feature of his comic talent.
