Making Panto Great Again!

After an absence of almost 30 years Bletchfest brought the art of seasonal Pantomime back to Bletchingley with a production of ‘After the Beanstalk’ in January. With two sold out performances we were encouraged to stage another production in January 2025.

Set against the charming backdrop of 16th century Bletchingley this new production tells the tale of Vic Whittington, Dick's less successful brother, as he looks to make his own way in a wacky world. Accompanied by his trusty though talkative Cat, Vic must help thwart a dastardly plot to seize power in Bletchingley if he’s to restore pride to the Whittington name.

Join us for a magical journey this festive season with our spectacular Pantomime, "Vic Whittington (or the cat that talked)" written by Mark Tantam.

Step into the enchanting world of fairy tale as we follow the fortunes of Vic and his quirky companion, filled with dazzling costumes and sets, lively music and plenty of laughter. Experience the wonder as our hero, aided by a whimsical cat and a roster of colourful characters, faces the challenges posed by the wicked plotters .

Perfect for families and theatre enthusiasts alike, this production promises joyous moments, great performances, and interactive fun that will have you cheering for the goodies and booing the baddies.

There are three performances. The first on the evening of Friday 3rd January at 7pm followed by a matinee on Saturday 4th at 2pm before a final evening performance at 7pm on Saturday 4th. Doors open 1 hour before the performances. A licensed bar, offering drinks and bar snacks, will be open prior to performances and during the intermission.

Don't miss your chance to be part of this joyous holiday tradition! Tickets are now on sale, but hurry—seats are limited! Step into a magical realm and create memories that will last a lifetime.
